Set in the 1990s, these are the life and times of Amado Carrillo Fuentes, a man who became the head of the Juárez cartel. Nicknamed “El Señor de los Cielos” (Lord of the Skies) because of the large fleet of airplanes he used to transport drugs, he was also known for washing more than $200 million through Colombia to finance his huge fleet. He is described as the most powerful drug trafficker of his time.

Elif, who lost her mother at a young age, is a devoted sister who supports her siblings Sefer and Narin. The happy and peaceful life of Tarik, the sole heir of Karaca Holding, suddenly changes with the murder of his older sister, whom he loves dearly. Tarik , who thinks his sister's murderer is Sefer, kidnaps Elif to catch Sefer, who went missing . While Tarik swears to avenge his sister, Elif and Tarik set sail for an impossible love.
