Jane Mallory Birkin, OBE (December 14, 1946 – July 16, 2023) was a British-French actress, singer, and designer. She attained international fame and notability for her decade-long musical and romantic partnership with Serge Gainsbourg. In addition to her prolific career in French cinema, she appeared in several English-language films including Blowup (1966), Death on the Nile (1978), Evil Under the Sun (1982), and A Soldier's Daughter Never Cries (1998). She was the mother of photographer Kate Barry with her first husband composer John Barry; of actress and singer Charlotte Gainsbourg with Serge Gainsbourg; and of musician Lou Doillon with Jacques Doillon.

Olga is married to Laurent, who is devoted to his career and often leaves Olga at home alone when he travels away for work. Whilst she is rich and wants for nothing, she is terribly bored with life.
